Liya Rakhkovskaya, B.S. I am
a recent MSU graduate with a BS in
Psychology and Statistics. This fall, I am planning to apply to PhD
programs in
Clinical Psychology. I have been working at the MSUTR since May 2009,
and it
has been a great experience so far. Some of my tasks included running
assessments, preparing mailings and other supplies, and training new
research
assistants. Currently, I work as a Data Assistant, entering, cleaning
and
checking lab data.
Outside of the lab, I volunteer at the Listening Ear Crisis center, handling various crisis calls, helping recruit and train new volunteers and analyzing call data. In addition, I am a member of Psi Chi/Psychology Honors Society and a facilitator at the Raft Hill Housing Cooperative. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, yoga and visiting family in the Detroit suburbs, Washington, D.C. and St. Petersburg, Russia.
