Welcome to Michigan State University's Twin Registry (MSUTR)!

Jessica Suisman B.S.
I graduated with honors in
May, 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in psychology and a specialization
in bioethics, humanities, and society. I am currently applying
to graduate schools in clinical psychology, and hope to begin pursuing
my PhD in the fall of 2008.
I began my work for the MSUTR
in January of 2004. Through my work with the MSUTR, I have become
proficient in many of the skills needed to actively conduct research.
Currently, I am the project coordinator for the Pilot Twin Hormone Study
and am the recruitment coordinator for the Opposite Sex Twin Study.
I am also responsible for many other lab tasks including data management
and training undergraduate research assistants. Last year,
I completed an honors thesis using data collected in the laboratory
that I am currently working to publish.
I am involved in many research projects in addition to the MSUTR.
I work for the MSU-UM family study, a longitudinal study of how
families grow and change over time. I have also gained experience
doing animal studies in a neuroscience laboratory examining changes in
behavior across puberty in rats. Finally, I previously worked for Dr.
Christine Larson’s Affective Neuroscience Laboratory at MSU. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, watching movies, and, of course, cheering on the Michigan State football and basketball teams.
